Why Self Realization! Yoga originated in India. It is not religious practice; it is a complete Life Style System that was practiced by all the people of ancient India and the people from different parts of the world regardless of age, sex and religion. The term "Yoga" has been spreading wrongly by the practice of Asana (posture) and Pranayama (Yogic breathing exercises) only. Nevertheless, when someone says "yoga", it means the entire Yogic System and many different things including physical movement, breathing, mental focus, spiritual development involves in it.
Each person's yoga practice is very personal. The goal of yoga is not to be able to put your foot behind your head on your shoulder or to balance your entire body on your hand. Moreover, the entire Yogic system encourages in getting control over the restless mind (‘Yogah Chitta Vritti Nirodhah’) and then realizes SELF (Individual Soul). On the way of continuous practice, discover the divine presence of God (universal Soul) everywhere within us and then connect with him.
The Practitioner of Traditional Yoga comes to know about his real identity, which is neither his body, nor the mind. It is his ‘Soul’. The bodies (The Physical, the Astral and the Causal bodies) enveloping the Self or Soul are ephemeral and have a beginning and an end. Therefore, death is certain for the born and birth for the dead.
This individual soul is unbreakable and insoluble, and can be neither burned by fire nor dried by wind and even weapons do not cleave this soul. He is everlasting; present everywhere, unchangeable, immovable and eternally the same.
Loknath Yoga (Traditional) is a safe and natural way to heal the body, calm the mind and enhance overall well-being. This is the way to discover the presence of the same God within every individual soul in this earth. Whether you are a beginner in Yoga, a senior Yoga practitioner or a Yoga Teacher, practice of Loknath Yoga can be a great experience for you to follow the right path of living.
Loknath Yoga is a traditional way of Yoga practices to achieve the maximum benefit of this Indian ancient system. It is based on "Ashtanga Yoga" (eight limbs) according to the first written description that was found in ‘yoga sutra,’ attributed to the great Rishi (saint) Patangali and together with the concept of "Vedantic Sadhana" (four limbs).
It was practiced & developed by the Great Yogi Sri Loknath Brahmachari (1730 to 1890). He spent about 100 years in learning and practicing all the stages of Yoga Sadhana and achieved the highest level, a human body can achieve.
Later, this valuable Traditional Yogic system (Loknath Yoga) is developed under spiritual guidance of Mahayogi Sri Thakur Janakinnath Brahmachari, following the spiritual ideology of Sri Loknath Brahmachari at Loknath Institute of Yoga India, which is under Sri Sri Baba Janakinath Seva Trust and Loknath Brahmachari Mahamondal Ashram, Muragacha, PO-Jugberia, 24 Pgs. North, West Bengal, India.
“Loknath Yogic System” emphasizes proper Yogic breathing (Pranayama), a gentle approach of Yoga posture (Asana), Mudras (Hsatha,Kaya, Mana, Adhara etc.), Bandhas (Lock), Kriyas (Shat Karma) with concentration and meditation techniques and Yogic diet to follow in practical life.
